The Belfield landfill project involves building Cell 2 of the Environmental Solutions, LLC landfill. This is Baranko’s second cell construction at the site, with the first completed nearly ten years ago in 2015.

The landfill, located on 17.5 acres south of Belfield, North Dakota, specializes in special and small-volume industrial waste (see a list of wastes accepted HERE). These waste differ from those found in a municipal city landfill like the Dickinson Landfill, which primarily handles household trash. It also utilizes the latest engineering practices and features a leachate monitoring system, along with a polyethylene / geosynthetic liner reinforced by a three-foot protective layer of clay.
If you didn’t know, Environmental Solutions, LLC is an affiliate company of Baranko, meaning Glenn is part owner of the company. Construction of the second cell began in July and will be completed by November this year. Check out the progress pictures below!
